Mom and Renee's Visit

I've had these pictures uploaded for a while, but I'm having trouble thinking of what to write to go along with them.  In all seriousness, how do you describe starting a new life in another country, and then having the opportunity to show it to the people you love the most?  I talked to Renee and my mom a lot about how things were going in Barcelona, but there was really nothing that could compare to being able to show them.  I'm really grateful that they were here and could meet my friends and see the city for themselves.  Here's the summary in pictures:

First, the nonsense ones, taken at Park Guell and the grocery store, respectively:

In America he's only "Mister" Clean, but in Spain he's "Don."

We got to see Michelle!  After a failed attempt to go to "quiz night" at the Travel Bar, we got some food and then went to a bar on the same street as our very first home here, Hostel New York.

And mom posed with the hookah, no convincing necessary.

The view of the more industrial side of the city, from the top of Montuic near the castle.

Statuesque:
I never get tired of the palmeras.
In the teleferica, or cable car, going back down from Montuic.
I had to get a candid of mom because she always closes her eyes in pictures.   I like this one a lot.
Fun with iphoto.
Renee playing in Park Guell:

View from the top!

Ya esta.  And now, I get to see them again in two weeks!
